A Week in Wisconsin
I was in the United States, from 17 of May to 22 of May.
When I came back to Japan,
it was the 23th of May.
So the journey took in fact one week.

Most of the week, I was in the town named Eau Claire,
which is sounded like "oh clare."
It's a small town in the State of Wisconsin.

Wisconsin is in the Midwest,
or the middle west part of the United States.
It's in the south of the Lake Superior,
one of the five great inland seas in North America,
and in the west of the Lake Michigan,
another of the five inland seas.
And it's in the east of the Mississippi River.

Though the hotel I had a room and bed in
might be one of the common hotels in the U.S.,
I was surprised at its size.
The round building in the picture
is only a small part of the hotel.
It has more and more rooms in the back,
with long walkways round an open space.

On the floor of the great open space,
there are places for swimming and sunbathing.

It was like an indoor town with a garden.
