This is a notebook and guide for learners of English as a second or overseas language, all over the earth. Most of the writings here are in Basic English, first designed by C. K. Ogden, using 850 necessary words and a number of international words only.

September Was Seventh
September,
septet,
septuagenerian . . .
These words have
something to do with
number seven.

"Septet" is a
group or band
of seven persons.

"Septuagenerian"
is a word for anyone who is
70 to 79 years old.

"September," however,
is the ninth month in our
calendar.
But it WAS the seventh month,
back in very old days.
