This is a notebook and guide for learners of English as a second or overseas language, all over the earth. Most of the writings here are in Basic English, first designed by C. K. Ogden, using 850 necessary words and a number of international words only.

December Was the 10th Month
Decade, Decalogue, decathlon, decimal and December.
They all have something to do with the number ten.

"Decade" is the time of ten years.
"Decathlon" is the sport competition
in which you have to do
ten different things.
"Decimal system"
is the way of numbering
based on the unit of ten.
It is the most commonly used
system of numbers.
"Decimal point"
is the small dot used in the numbers like
"3.14159."

December, in the old Roman calendar,
was the tenth month of the year.
But it is now the twelfth
and the last month of year.
