This is a notebook and guide for learners of English as a second or overseas language, all over the earth. Most of the writings here are in Basic English, first designed by C. K. Ogden, using 850 necessary words and a number of international words only.

Britannica on Basic English
[Last week]
when I was at my birthplace, to be with my mother and to see my brother's family, I took a look at a copy of Encyclopædia Britannica, printed in 1968, and I came across its account of Basic English. It was signed "C. K. O." The writer is very probably Charles Kay Ogden himself. 2008.01.02 Wednesday
