My Father's Happiest Days
 Yonezawa Koto Kogyo

My father Yoshiyuki had his birth on 23 of September, 1923. He went dead in 2001. So today is his 85th birthday. And it is a Buddhist day to keep the memory of the dead as well. So we made a one-day journey to a town over the mountains in the north.

Telephone in Motion
 "Automobile,"
in C. K. Ogden's word list,
is an international word.
It is generally used for an
engine-powered,
self-moving, carriage.

"Auto," in fact,
is "self," and
"mobile" is
about things with "motion."

The word "carriage,"
is now made short as
"car."
