My Twitter Notes from Yesterday
  • 17:31  I made an attempt today to go on my two-wheeler up to my workplace over the mountain, but the road was damaged and the slope was very hard.
  • 17:33  So I gave up reaching my office and came back to town and to my living place. It was good, however, as a sort of physical training.
  • 22:01  Aftershock. Quiet, slow, but strong.
  • 22:20  Aftershock. Quick shake. It's strong . . . but not so long.

My Twitter Notes from Yesterday
  • 06:14  Good morning, with an aftershock.
  • 09:00  It's a cold and beautiful morning. The mountains in the west are beautiful. I took a long distance bus and a long walk to my workplace.
  • 12:26  The network connection in my office went out when the hardest blow came on 11 March, because the cord was pulled off by the strong shake.
  • 12:28  And books came down on the cord. I took time clearing the books and, today, the connection has come back.
  • 14:11  "Vent" and "wind" are words with the common root. "Vent" or "ventilate" is act of letting the wind go out, through the window or the vent.
  • 20:35  Strong and short aftershock.

My Twitter Notes from Yesterday
  • 08:00  Though it's Saturday morning, my dear woman is going out to do her part-time work. My son and I will be here by ourselves.
  • 08:40  We had snow last night. The level of the radioactive substance in the air will be lower. The level in the water, however, will be greater.
  • 17:07  My son and I took the bus to the railway station and went to a restaurant, a bookstore, and Mister Donut. The railroad was still broken.
  • 19:20  Aftershock. it's slow, quiet and long.
  • 19:25  Again. It's slow and long.
  • 19:43  Another aftershock, with the sound of a helicopter overhead.
  • 23:12  Aftershock. Slow and short.

My Twitter Notes from Yesterday
  • 07:38  Good morning. I am certain that there was an aftershock while I was sleeping, but I kept on sleeping.
  • 18:04  Two weeks have gone by and today's been a cold and quiet day. There is not a good news from Tokyo Electric Power Co.'s Nuclear Power Plant.
  • 20:38  Aftershock. It's slow, strong and very long.

My Twitter Notes from Yesterday
  • 07:40  I became awake with an aftershock. The morning news says that it was strong.
  • 07:42  I was wrong. My mind is not very clear.
  • 10:14  I've been doing my work in our flat for days, away from my workplace, because the railroad is damaged, but today I'll make an attempt to go.
  • 10:44  It's about seven miles from my living place to workplace. I'll go on my two-wheeler to the railroad station and take the bus for Nihonmatsu.
  • 16:52  My 40-minute journey on the bus was hard because I had to keep myself on my feet. It took 560 ten to go there. The workplace was very quiet.
  • 17:10  It was 560 yen, not "560 ten." Now I am on the bus coming back to town. It is full.
  • 21:26  Before taking the bus back to town today, I had a walk to Fukushima Medical University. I saw an SDF automobile there, but I had no idea.
  • 21:31  After coming back to our flat, I saw the news that men at the Nuclear Plant got radioactive burn and were taken to the Medical University.

  • 07:00  "People should be 'properly afraid'" by Shunichi Yamashita, a medical expert and university teacher, http://p.tl/d508
  • 07:13  Good morning, with an after shock. It's strong.
  • 07:14  Again. Strong.
  • 07:29  The man on the radio says that the death wave will not come this time.
  • 07:36  Aftershock again. It's hard and quick.
  • 07:37  Again. Very strong.
  • 08:43  Our meal is ready.
  • 09:12  We've had a good family meal together.
  • 11:19  Rain in the night time made our town clean, washing radioactive dust and power from trees away. Now the cold wind is coming from north-west.
  • 12:02  I said "power from trees" but it was my error. I was talking about "powder." It will be "pollen" in high-level English.
  • 19:46  While we were having the early-night meal, there came an aftershock, and after the meal, another.

My Twitter Notes from Yesterday
  • 06:25  Good morning, with a short aftershock.
  • 10:00  The electric power made from wind, water and sunlight may not be strong enough to take over the ones from burning oil or nuclear reaction.
  • 10:07  But the clean and natural electric power will be of some good use in times like blackout, being sudden or controlled.
  • 16:43  It's a cold day again. My son, his mother and I went out on our two-wheelers to take the ordered bags of food because there was no delivery.
  • 17:06  Men and women I saw walking on streets of our town today were in dark or white clothing for runners or trainers, but it was not a sport day.
  • 17:34  Aftershock again. Slow, strong and short.
  • 18:22  Now we've had a strong aftershock. The woman on the radio is quietly talking and giving directions. The second shock! It is strong. Quiet.
  • 18:47  Another after shock. Strong, quiet, but short.
  • 19:58  Another aftershock, slow, strong, and short.
  • 21:06  Aftershock again, slow, quiet and strong.
  • 22:52  Very slow aftershock.

  • 08:23  Good morning. Level of radiation caused by radioactive fallout in the air, in every town every hour, is in the news, like the day's weather.
  • 08:38  The town of Fukushima, or Fukushima City, is about 65 kilometers, or 40 miles, away from the noted Fukushima Dai-Ichi Nuclear Power Plant.
  • 10:28  My friends in Japan and overseas, it may not be important but the number of my Twitter writings in Basic English has now come up to 1,111.
